PR electronics now launches a newly developed, unique series of universal modules with detachable front programming unit Universal functions The 4100 series, consisting of 4114, 4116 and 4131, is a new range of universal signal conditioning modules. By way of the detachable front programming unit 4501, the new modules can be programmed quickly and easily to suit the specific application. The PReasy series can be configured for all types of standard industrial measuring signals such as RTD, TC, Ohm, potentiometer, mA and V. Depending on the desired output function, the customer can choose between the 4114 with analog output, the 4131 with 2 relays or the 4116 with analog output and 2 relays. All the modules feature universal power supply of 21.6…253 VAC and 19.2…300 VDC.

Front programming

The 4100 series is easily configured by way of the elegantly designed, detachable display front 4501. The customer is guided through all the configuration steps by simple and explanatory help texts which are available in 7 different languages. When mounted in the process, the display front can be used for signal visualization, but the modules can also function without the display front. Through the programming front, the user gains access to a host of interesting functions e.g. sophisticated relay settings, process calibration, process simulation, TAG numbering, display settings, sensor error action and much more. When the display front 4501 is mounted on modules in the process, the customer can obtain information on e.g. process value, output value, relay state, communication state or TAG number.

Safe signal conditioning

Our new transmitter range has been designed in accordance with PR electronics’ strict demands for safety at all levels. The module features 2.3 kVAC isolation on all ports and comply with NAMUR NE43 (sensor error), NE21 (Burst), the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and UL 508.

4114 and 4116 have been designed for application in SIL 2 circuits. The 4100 series features advanced auto-diagnostic functions and by way of the display the customer is continuously informed in case of communication errors.

4131 and 4116 come with 2 relays, which can be configured independently of one another for surveillance of e.g. flow, level, temperature, speed or whichever measurement signal the input reflects.

The relays can be set up as single trip amplifiers, window function, sensor error detection and much more. In units featuring analog output, sensor error action on the output can be chosen freely.

The elegant front programming unit ensures that the new 4100-series is completely independent of PCs, DIP-switches and jumpers while still offering the user full flexibility.
