Captex Flammable Gas Detector

Captex flammable gas sensor, certified "d", with plastic junction box, 3 wires, poison resistant catalytic sensor. When used with a Gas Surveyor 4B control unit this provides a fixed monitoring and alarm system for a low cost.

The flammable gas detector CAPTEX is designed to preserve small and middle premises from any explosion risk. It meets your quality and commercial requirements.

The sensor of the CAPTEX is flame proof and the detector can be placed in hazardous areas. It is connected to an OLDHAM gas monitor.

Reliable and safe operation

The basic component of a detector is its sensor, based on the catalytic oxidation principle and with a flame proof construction, it consists of pellistors in a wheatstone bridge.

The detecting filaments, when heated and exposed to gas, unbalance the wheatstone bridge and cause a voltage variation proportional to the concentration of gas. This signal is transmitted to the control unit. The compensating filament prevents the effects of humidity variations or temperature variations.
