Quick Overview

This low cost clamp on ultrasonic flowmeter is ideal for long-term deployment for flow measurement and closed-pipe applications, such as liquid process control, water flow measurement (hot/chill water, city water, sea water), sewage and sludge measurement, and measurements of oil (crude/diesel/fuel), chemicals (alcohol, acids, etc.), beverage, and many other liquids. Once the sensors are clamped on the pipe using the supplied stainless steel straps it can be programmed in a matter of minutes via RS485. In addition to the 4-20mA and pulse outputs for flow rate and totalizer.

OMNI-TUF-200M DIN-Mount Ultrasonic Flowmeter supplied with transducers for pipe sizes 15-100mm or 100 - 700mm, complete with manual and stainless steel straps.

Cable should not be laid in parallel with high-voltage power lines, neither should it be close to strong interference source such as power transformers.

  • Do I need a Doppler or Time Of Flight flow meter?

    There are two types of ultrasonic flow meters, doppler and time of flight.  The doppler technology is an older technology and is suited for flows which have air bubbles or solids in the line.  Time of flight is a new technology and is designed for clean flows with little or no disturbances in the line.  For example, the waste water industry would generally use a doppler flow meter while the city water district would use a time of flight meter.
